FIND YOUR CUSTOM CUT ROD MEASUREMENT

CLOSETbay has a large selection of closet rod profiles and finishes available for custom cut. Follow these steps to find your custom cut rod length.

Step 1: Measure from wall-to-wall or mounting surface-to-mounting surface. This is called the “Total Width” or “TW”. Be sure to use the exact locations where you will be mounting your closet rod and flanges, and measure as precisely as possible since walls are not perfectly flat.

Step 2: Choose the closet rod profile you’d like, and pick a flange combination that suits your style and needs. Note that each flange combination has a different flange space, or amount of space required for the flange. Subtract the flange space needed from the Total Width.

Step 3: Plug these measurements into the equation below to find your custom cut rod length. You may want to also subtract an additional 1/8in. to give the rod some extra play when mounting to the wall.
TOTAL WIDTH minus FLANGE SPACE minus  *OPTIONAL 1/8IN = CUT LENGTH
